Know before you board
A simple visual guide to the real morning experience: the gear is ready, the crew chooses the fishing spot and you learn bottom fishing step by step.
Meet at the confirmed marina point and board at the agreed time.
You receive a rod, a single-hook rig, a sinker and shrimp bait.
The route and fishing area are chosen according to sea conditions and local knowledge.
Lower the rig beside the boat until the sinker reaches the seabed.
Enjoy the ride back after the fishing session ends.
Trips leave only when conditions are safe. The route, departure and fishing spot may change with the weather.
Do not cast. Lower the rig vertically beside the boat and let the sinker touch the seabed.
Six simple actions
Lower the rig until you feel the sinker touch the seabed.
Reel in just enough line to keep a light, direct connection with the rig.
Keep the rod steady and pay attention to the tip and the line in your hand.
Small fish may peck quickly at the shrimp. Stay ready and wait for a more committed pull.
When the pull becomes repeated or firm, react as the crew has demonstrated.
Reel smoothly without giving slack. If the bites stop, lift the rig and check the bait.

Often a small fish tasting or stealing the shrimp. Stay attentive and avoid a rushed strike.
The fish may have committed to the bait. Follow the crew's instruction and keep steady pressure.
No more movement after several taps? Bring the rig up and check the shrimp.
A catch can never be guaranteed. Fish activity, sea conditions, timing, attention and technique all matter.
Always follow the crew's instructions. Ask about a child's age and safety arrangements before booking.
A better day at sea
The fishing technique is explained above. These practical habits help protect the bait, everyone aboard and the fish you catch.
Keep it in its container and in the shaded, cool place indicated by the crew. Take out only enough for the next bait-up, close the container again, never leave it on a hot deck and clean your hands before eating.
Bring drinking water, SPF 30+ sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, light covering, shoes with a stable non-slip sole and any personal medication you normally need. Ask Dimitris before bringing food aboard.
Tell the crew early, stay in fresh air, look at the horizon and avoid reading or watching your phone. Take small sips of water. If you may need medicine, ask a doctor or pharmacist before the trip.
Lower the rig only where the crew shows you, check that nobody is within the hook's path and never swing it across the deck. Keep loose line and hooks off the floor, and supervise children closely.
Ask Dimitris whether the fish will be kept or released. If the crew asks you to hold it, use wet hands, avoid the gills, do not squeeze it and keep it out of the water for as little time as possible.
Dimitris and the crew's instructions always take priority over this quick guide.
